Here's the short version of how virtual assistants use jobs.virtualassistantinternational.com — from creating a profile to applying for work. The free tier and the paid membership unlock different parts of this, so the split matters. The Virtual Assistants section of this Help Center covers the career side in more depth.

How do I get started as a VA?

Create an account with an email and password, or sign up with Google or Facebook. Confirm your email, then build your profile with your skills, availability, and the kind of work you're looking for — all of this is available on the free tier.

What can I do on the free tier?

Create and edit your profile, browse job listings, and appear in employer searches. It's a real, usable starting point — you don't need to pay to build a complete profile or see what's out there.

Do I need to pay to apply to jobs or message employers?

Yes. Applying to a vacancy and messaging an employer both require a paid membership. The free tier covers building your profile and browsing — applying and messaging are Pro-tier features. You can see what's included and the current price on the Membership page in your dashboard.

How do employers find me?

Employers search VA profiles directly and browse vacancy applicants. A complete profile — skills, availability, rate, languages — is what makes you show up in those searches, so it's worth filling it in fully even before you upgrade.

Is there a limit on how many jobs I can apply to once I'm on a paid membership?

No — once you have a paid membership, there's no limit on how many vacancies you can apply to.

Where do I manage my applications and profile?

Your dashboard is the hub for all of this — your profile, your membership, saved vacancies, and (once you're on a paid membership) your applications and messages are all there once you're signed in.
