Your course and job platform access depend on the package and offer that applied when you purchased. The course access and refund information below summarises Articles 6 and 8 of the published Terms and Conditions.
What does lifetime course access mean?
Lifetime course access lasts for the lifetime of the Platform and for as long as VAI offers the relevant course, including its updates. If VAI permanently discontinues the Platform, it will give at least three months' notice. During that period, customers can download the materials that are available for download.
Job platform access has the duration included with your package. Profile and messaging features are available while that access is active. Access is personal and non-transferable; sharing login details is not permitted.
Can I extend my job platform access?
Starter or Professional members can extend job platform access after the included period for €49.99 per month with a 12-month subscription contract. This extension is a separate subscription. The original package is still a one-time purchase, including when paid in installments.
Do consumers have a cooling-off period?
For consumers, a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the conclusion of the agreement applies in principle to distance contracts. A consumer is a person purchasing outside their profession or business.
The terms distinguish between digital content and the job platform service:
- Courses and other digital content: delivery starts immediately after purchase. The right of withdrawal for that digital content lapses only after the consumer actively ticks a separate declaration consenting to immediate delivery within the cooling-off period and acknowledging the loss of that right, and delivery has begun.
- Job platform service: the consumer expressly requests that the service start during the cooling-off period. If the consumer withdraws within that period, to the extent this remains legally possible, a proportionate amount is due for the service already provided.
Can I receive a refund?
Except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise, purchases are final and there is no right to a refund. Not using or only partly using the package, disappointing results when looking for work, or changed personal circumstances do not create a refund entitlement under the terms.
Customers buying in the course of a profession or business have no right of withdrawal or refund under these terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain protected where they apply.
